Just so nobody freaks out...I was only wondering because it was listed as a charge against a man and woman in an article I was reading.

A person commits the offense of gross abuse of a corpse if the person, unless authorized by law, treats a human corpse in a way that would outrage reasonable community sensibilities. Gross abuse of a corpse is a felony of the fifth degree. (Existing sec. 2927.01(A), (B), and (C).)

Usually odd things like running over a dead body, vandelizing a cemetary and messing with the caskets, owning body parts that aren't yours......

Goofy stuff.

*Hopefully* just that the person did not dispose of the body in a legal manner.

It would also be the charge for necrophilia, though.
