Well that depends on how you want to live it. I am fifty nine now and I think it got better for me, but it doesn't for everyone. It seems just when you have all the things you really wanted to happen in your life that you end up getting ill or something always happens to mess things up. So.. life is how you want to feel it really! You can feel sorry for yourself or feel sad and feel that life did not give you what it should or you can feel lucky you are a life and try to live each day by waking up in the morning and knowing you are still here. Stop worrying about the petty things in life and all the wants you may have because you may not get them anyway and it is a waist to fret over. You may not get them and it is a waist of life to be unhappy. Just live and be happy to live and love and be loved while you can on this earth and life will get better each day that you live.

According to major studies, people in their 20s and 60s were asked if they believed they were happier at 20 or 60. The 60s were like the 20s when they were 20, "no way will I be happier." The 60s (and this holds true for all age groups) simply are happier than they were as 20-somethings, and happier than they ever thought they'd be as 60-somethings. Apparently this is a constant.

"Men in White Apparel," Ann Ree Colton, "Man, Master of His Destiny," O. M. Aivanhov, and "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, give some insight. "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, indicates one may become happier from one life to the next. http://www.divinecosmos.com and "Life before Life," Jim Tucker, M.D.

For some better, for some worse, it's all about where the dice land for you. I wish you the best, but it's quite random in most instances. We are influenced by not only our own decisions, but the decisions of an almost infinite amount of people, many we don't even know, every day. It's all about being at the right place in the right time, and this only happens for some.

Life sucks, then you die. Life gets worse and worse. As soon as you pass the last freedom providing milestone (i.e. drinking age of 21 in USA), then it's generally downhill until you croak. You might get some good luck, or have kids, or something like that; but all happiness is temporary. It only takes time to replace it with pain, suffering, and anguish.

It's like two monsters fighting. Which one wins, depends on which one you feed. If you think life will get better, and you feed that thought, it will. If you think life will get worse and you feed that thought, it will.

"There is a thought in your mid right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one."
~ Ralph Marston

Thoughts are seeds; you reap what you sow.

I'd say better. Once I got into my 30's I started not caring as much about "popular culture" and started focusing more on my own personal interests. I think you develop more of a sense of self-worth, and security with who you are, as you get older.
