80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

To live, enjoy, experience, encounter new people, joke, laugh, love, hate, satisfy your desires. The idea that life has no meaning is ludicrous and is the result of an immature mentality. If you feel life has no meaning then you should reevaluate how you live and your perspectives. Life is much deeper then a process of birth, living, and death. Instead it is a privilege bestowed upon us by a higher power that grants us the opportunity to fulfill our every want and desire. A wise man who respected life once said, "When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing -- then we truly live life." Life has a purpose, it is simply our job to find it, capture it, manifest it's meaning, and enjoy it.

each person sees life from a point of view and try to lives it as he sees it. some see life in money, fancy cars, parties, drinking...... some see life in owning things like clothes, old pictures, beauty, good health...people(controling others like leaders, some politicians), others see life in simple things like a morning sunshine, asmiling baby, a shining star, in a feeling of peace and harmony within the self and god almighty
and each one tries to reach the life he sees, but one thing is certain ie life lies in life,in things that do not die and go away
with time and life come from positive means like love, peace, ultimate happiness which only can be found in that humble light inside each being that connects us all together and with the ultimate.

The meaning of life is to discover that life has no meaning and that we simply assign it a purpose and a cause to satisfy our own feelings self-importance as a species.

The only reason I don't report this question is that you really are a level one and, maybe, you don't know how often this question has been posted here. The meaning of life is not to have to answer this question every again.

Life-
It is really almost impossiblie to define. I think of it as a time before heaven. If you are good in your life then you will get everlasting life with God. It is also a time to love, laugh, sing, dance, smile, cry, learn, meditate(hehe), and just have fun and be extreme!!!
