We won the contest! But everyone I tell just says some light answer and moves on. My job is really nice I just don't think I am getting the message across. What am I doing wrong?

Talk to your supervisor, they have to have it checked out! Even if its not broken. If it is then they have to take care of it, seeing as how its a work related incident. If Your arm is broken it will bruise like no tomorrow and hurt really really bad and in some worse case scenarios, you won't be able to move your hand, or you could have a bruised bone, pinched vein...... all kinds off things could have happened. Have it checked out!

Tell whoever is in charge that you have been injured on the job and you need to know which medical facility handles that sort of thing. You may be asking too nicely, as in "I think I hurt myself, what should I do?" You'll want to be more forceful with them and assert your need for medical attention. If you go home and it still hurts tomorrow you could have a harder time proving it was work-related than if you went to the doctor right away.

you aren't calling 911 for emergency help, a broken arm is an emergency.

I'm sure they are just as concerned as you are. If you have not taken a trip to see a doctor, then why should they be more concerned about it than you.
