We were also recently rear ended and need a really sturdy framed vehicle.
Mom also like to breath "filtered" AC air with filters you can change yourself. We live in South Florida, so the AC has to be really reliable.

Can anyone suggest a vehicle for us that satisfies these requirements.

I know people like to mock this vehicle, but I drive a Toyota Echo, and it is a tall call, which makes it easier for older people to get in and out of......much like an SUV but without the gas guzzling. My parents are elderly and my Mother has arthritic knees and osteo and has no problems riding in this vehicle. I live in Deerfiled Bch, near Ft Lauderdale, and the AC is great.

I've been through this before, it helps to keep in mind the height of the sitting position for your passenger. Some vehicles offer very smooth rides but are so low to the ground getting into or out of them is very difficult. A toyota tacoma pickup is just about the perfect hieght, no climbing up into it or getting up out of it. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas.

I don't know about the "filtered" a/c, but the Ford Grand Marquis is about the sturdiest car with soft ride. Check with your dealer to see if filtered a/c is an option.
They ride just as good as a Lincoln and are a lot less expensive both to purchase and to maintain.

Lincoln Towncar. The older 90's to 96's are inexpensive and its like riding on a cloud. Get one that is well maintained

A big model Buick (not SUV) would work quite well.
