i know its an expression used to show excitement, and i went to great googly moogly.com where this guy says it, 3 6 mafia said it in one of their songs, and i saw the chefs snickers commercial, but that still doesnt tell me anything... i think it might mean ugly, but pls tell me.

Its like "gees" or "gosh." Its a way of getting around actually swearing.

"Great googly moogly" is an expression used by the monster on the kids' t.v. show "Maggie and the Ferocious Beast" on the Noggin channel. It's just an exclamation like "holy cow" or "gee whiz". However, if it's been taken up by others with less innocent ideas in mind, its meaning may have changed. Too bad....

It is just an innocent exclamation that doesn't take God's name in vain or refer to something vile. It is for people who don't like filth to be pouring from their children's mouths constantly and want to maintain some level of decency and decorum in their communications. Besides, it sounds funny.
