hi i really want to start acting but i dont know how to start and what i have to do. im only a highschool student.

Your school should have a performing arts/drama club as well as elective classes. School plays/performances is usually the first step.
Check your community for theater groups. Most have at least one, that do things like Shakespeare in the park or similar summer programs.
Check the local yellowpages for an acting coach.

Well there is not much you can do. Until you are 18, your parents have to do everything for you, sign contracts, get you an agent. So where you start is in the school plays and in the speech and drama activities and classes. Do all of that stuff, then you might take a professional class at an acting school, then when you graduate you can concentrate on building your resume and seeking a career.

Most High Schools have a drama program. Get in touch with the Drama instructor and go from there.

forget all this and start WORKING. not for money or a director, but for characters and theater.
