That's a good one. seems to me that people is wondering more and more about deeper reasons to do it. You can be compromise with some one and not really get marry. Legal reasons? maybe... The only reason I would do it would be to see her happy.

before i met my husband, i was absolutly sure id never settle down with a guy, i enjoyed my freedom to much, i'd never stayed with a guy longer than 2 months as i got bored easily, then i met my husband and within a week i had phoned my mum and told her that this was the guy i was going to marry, within 2 weeks he was living in my place and a year later we were married. 11 years and 2 sons later, i would say a definate YES i really did want to get married. :-)

Been there, done that -- really wanted to and really enjoyed it, lasted 11 years. I've been single for 6 years and don't anticipate getting married again.

no and thats why I called off the wedding. I mean, I want to get married someday, but not till I find the right guy and I think I have this time.

Nope. It was not in my plans at all. I had totally planned to go to New York and become a famous Braodway star. That was 52 years ago and I'm such a die-hard-I still havent given up hope. Go ahead-you can laugh.

i have never been married, maybe one day when that *special guy* comes around it might just happen. Im not going out and searching to find him though.....he can come to me!
