YES!! It really means something if you wait, not just, ho hum, another roll in the hay. I don't say you have to wait for marriage, but you should be in a long-term committed relationship that has already proven important to both of you over a period of months, if not longer. And 16 is too young, period.

Waiting for marriage is okay, too, if you don't rush into marriage just to get sex.

As for age, it's more a matter of maturity of the two of you and of the relationship, but I'd think very few people are ready for sexual relations until they have finished high school. That's minimum; in your 20s is better. AND in a long-term proven relationship.

Even if you are using birth control, if a pregnancy would be devastating, then you probably are not ready for sex. If your relationship and you are strong enough to support having a baby, even if you don't really want one quite yet (or ever), then you and the relationship are probably mature enough for sex.

Good luck! Waiting is not easy, but it's the best thing in the longer run.

Here's a rule of thumb that I think that you should all stick by (and when I say all, I'm talking about the many many kids we have post on hear asking the same thing everyday), if you're asking yourself if you should wait to have sex, then the answer is yes you're not ready. When the time is right and you're comforatable with yourself, your partner and the possible outcome of having sex then you won't even ponder the question. So yes wait, all of you WAIT until you're ready. Have a childhood and have fun, there's plenty of time for sex and BABIES!

You did not say how long you're able to been at the same time, or what your a while are (and FYI, spell verify right here works super, do take great factor approximately it). in case you're the two adults, then have intercourse while it is suitable for you the two. there is not any minimum or optimal time to attend. in case you're minors, wait till you're the two waiting to handle the achievable repercussions of intercourse (being pregnant, stds, emotional attachment, and so forth). no count once you have intercourse with somebody (the 1st date or months down the line) there is often the prospect that'll be the top of the dating (except you waited till they married you) so quicker or later you basically % to take that gamble and notice in the event that they're with you for you, or basically for the intercourse. good luck!

You should wait until you have a committment to a woman, not a girl. When you have sex there are possibilities that you're not ready for at your current age. In addition if you hold out until you're married then you will be giving your whole self to your wife and that's a pleasure worth waiting for.

You do it now - thers a 90% chance ud regret it... my mom actually saw a 14 yr old pregnant gurl when she was having me at 22. She really convinced me to wait....

also young teens tend to regret it (especially females) as more important relationships in the future become harder as you tend to keep it a secret to any future lovers...

Its true...
Just wait, and all will be worth it - but make sure contreception is priority, otherwise dont even think about it...

Thats a personal choice, but personally I feel its much more beneficial and enjoyable to wait until you marry the person you know you want to stay with.

When you can take on the responsibility of raising a child is when you can think about having sex.

I think you should decide if you are ready or not. If you love the person and you want to take that step then go for it, if not dont.
