Do you really think it would take all of ten years?
The ones who are rich are good at the game, and they would use their money to make more, and be rich again.
The ones who are poor don't even know what the game is, much less how to play it, and they would most likely just spend it, until it was gone.

No, I'd have considerably more and it would be growing daily. Some others might spend excessively and waste beyond their means, thus considerably reducing their wealth. Not everyone is disciplined enough to plan for the future, defer gratification and/or understand how money truly works. There is a huge difference between enjoying ones life but living within your means and enjoying too much to the point of excessive spending. IMO those who truly understand how to make money work for them usually will become and remain wealthy. So yes more often than not those who were initially rich will remain rich.

As confused as ever here... if it was evenly shared then wouldn't it be evenly shared in ten years also?
I want equality for everyone. I know it sounds nuts, but look at it this way... if no one makes any money... everyone does what they are good at, they do it because they want to, and all are equal. Everyone is cared for... the system is the same for everyone! Might be like living in a space ship! It's OK to be who you are and do what you want... be a cook if you want to cook, fix engines if you want, be a doctor, whatever!
Just my little thinking... it shouldn't be the way it is! It's all wrong, or not quite right!

I don't think so, I think a lot of the people would go hog wild with the money, but on that same note I think us older folk would probably invest it to make more money, so that if by some weird chance they invented a longevity drug or something, we would still have enough to tide us over for the next 100 years or so. At least I like to think that the majority of us are wise enough to do something like this?

Yes, I agree with you but I don't think it would take 10 years. I have some relatives that could go through their share of the wealth in about 6 weeks.

Of course all situations are different.
The people with common since. wisdom and an education and ambition to become rich will be rich....People with one or two of the three will be middle class.... The ones without common since, and no ambition will be poor.

NO, if evenly shared some of the poorer people now would invest and no what to do with the money. Most of the poorer people are a victim of circumstance and so they would be able to achieve if given equal share.

surely the smart people wouldn't squander their wealth. the lazy people would eventually run out.
However, if the wealth was equal, that's called communism.

Oh no. I would know how to handle it if I got my fair share. And would never end up back at the bottom.
