Yesterday while driving home from school i got in a car accident. i was admittedly going a little too fast and hit black ice. i went smashing into the snow covered guard rail and it took off a chunk of the bottom of my car, then i went spinning back out into the middle of the insterstate, my car facing the opposite direction. i am fine, i just had a concussion and neck pain. but i was really excited to come home for christmas and for some reason i have lost all my spirit. i have no car, i willy probably get a speeding ticket, and it was just a bad way to start off the holiday with my mom, whose name the car is under. i don't know why but i feel depressed now. i feel like my mom is mad at me, and i just don't care for christmas at all now. not sure what to do?

(Ayyy, you taking your name a bit too seriously?)
Listen, accidents happen -- to EVERYONE.
You can be HAPPY that it didn't harm you, more than it had... and you can feel better knowing that your mother loves you and ultimately realizes that it could have been VERY bad. Learn from your mistakes, and slow down. Enjoy the holidays, anyway... unless your open-up a trampoline of Xmas Day? ...seriously, you are well loved... and just Drive carefully... black ice happens everywhere, and you should slow down (now you know). I'd give you a hug, too... if I were your mom or dad... except if it was a Porshe, then I'd toss you out into the snow on the lawn!

A few years ago I had an accident when I went through a red light and was hit by a bus and survived. Yes my insurance went through the roof because it was my fault but I survived and now it is a thing of the past just like your accident will be some day. You may not have a car but you will be home for Christmas and there is nothing more valuable than your life. So be grateful and this will give you a chance to make up for your error and make you be more careful in the future.

Honey, accidents happens. It wouldn't matter how fast you driving because you hit black ice, you still would have got into an accident. Be grateful that no one was seriously hurt. Talk to your mom about how you feel. I'm sure she is glad that you weren't hurt worse.
Try to enjoy the Holidays and take the time to relax.
I'm glad you're OK â¥

I'd feel bad if I wrecked my car too. Are you taken pain medication? It can make you feel terrible. Your mom may be mad at you. However, I am sure she is glad that you are home and ok. Give your self a break and take it easy today. Tomorrow will be different.

You messed up, nothing you can do to change that. Be happy that you are ok and not hurt. Your mom is more concerned over you being safe than the car. All is well Roz.
