you see, i had been working hard on my gingerbread house for about 3 weeks in my culinary arts class. the school provided everything, even the candy for decorations. i went outside the box and i bought some candy for my house with my own money, and i worked hard on the house. i finished it last week on Friday, and i didnt get the chance to take a proud picture with my house. it got put into auction along with everybody else's houses. i came back to school on Monday, and i saw a bet on my house....i couldnt take a picture with it still, so i brought my camera on Tuesday and then my house was gone!!! it got sold before all the other houses, at first i though it got stolen, but no, someone bought it (the rest of the houses were still there). then they told me it sold for top price.....that made me feel great, but i dont have any memory of my house in picture.

should i be more happy or sad....this seems silly, i know, but i worked hard on that house.

You have something better than a picture. You have pride. Because you took the extra time and care and effort into your house, it was amazing and bought first. Your pride in your creation shown through all the other houses.

I know it can be disappointing not to have a memory in your album, but you do have one in your head, and someone has a very special decoration to admire this year. Perhaps if you discover who bought it you could still have a picture? If not, hang onto the memory with in you and know that you made a very special house from pride and it was the first sold to someone to enjoy. Thats your reward. Feel happy, and honored too!

Ask whoever managed the bidding whether they know who bought your gingerbread house. Then find that person and ask if they still had the house and if you can take a picture. If all the answers are YES, then I bet the people would like to meet the architect who made such a good gingerbread sculpture.

Be happy.. you can make another one can't you? You could make it the same or better can you not? As for not getting a picture of your house.. you should've had some for thought and had a camera ready to use the moment you finished your house! You can be a little mad at yourself for not thinking ahead but you should be happy. What would you be if your house had been the last chosen?

That is understandable to be upset. Is there any chance they can tell you who bought it? Maybe you can still get a pic. If not, be happy and proud of your job well done.
