Take a tape recorder into the room and tape the snoring. When he hears it, demand that he see a doctor or else he's sleeping on the couch.

Oh I empathise with you and understand how you are feeling. Your partner must understand that you need your rest as much as he. Can he not sleep elsewhere like a spare bed or a put -you- up so that you can both get a good nights sleep.
I used to sleep on the floor when I was pregnant because of my hubbys snoring. Eventually he did go to the doctors but nothing really helped other than him losing weight which helped. However, there are many options from which to chose from these days and no need for you to take such drastic actions.
Tell him to get it sorted.

I know EXACTLY what you are going through. I never understood why these women got up in the middle of the night and out of the blue killed their husbands in their sleep, that was until I got married to a man that snores. Honestly I make my husband sleep in the guest bedroom. It sucks because I want him beside me but sleep is much more important...lol. If you couldn't imagine sleeping alone (or if this would keep you awake even more) they do make a snoring pillow that you can buy at any brookestone store or on line that I have heard works wonders. It is a little expensive, but sleep is very valuable also. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!!!

I assume he hasn't only just started snoring and that as a couple you have had more than 37 weeks to sort out this problem?
Just hang on in there for a little while longer. His snoring will no longer bother you as neither of you will get any sleep at all!

Pinch his nose when he snores so that he wakes up. If you keep on doing this he should get the message! Then move him to the couch! You are pregnant and are entitled to a decent nights sleep, plus when baby comes along you dont want him constantly waking the baby up.

i have the same problem. i'm 38 weeks and i keep waking up to use the bathroom etc... and my husband snores relentlessly so i cannot fall back to sleep. this is my second baby and i wish i could tell you it's not going to get any worse but when i had my first baby and had to get up for feedings, it was the same problem so, unfortunately your issue won't be going away any time soon. record him or video tape him and show him. then he won't be able to dispute your claim and maybe he'll try to deal with the issue and go to the doctor. my husband bought those breathe right strips and they really do nothing so don't waste your money on those.

LOL! Isn't it the worst? My husband snores terribly and it drives me insane. He has sleep apnea though. Snoring can actually be an indication of a serious condition such as apnea. Your partner should really have that checked out.

You probably just feeling like that because it is almost time for the baby to come and you are very unconformable when you sleep. I was like that with my husband when I was pregnant. I would find anything wrong with him at night. When the baby comes it will most likely pass and you will be way to tired to even hear his snoring. That is how I am. I have three kids now and don't even hear them sometimes because I am to tired. It like my body only want to hear the baby crying.

oh i feel your pain, my boyfriend snores and i chucked him out of the bed and into the livingroom at about week 26 lol. try taping him when hes sleeping so he can see for himself that he snores and tell him if he wants to continue sleeping in the bed that he has to go to the doctors or get sore anti-snoring nasal strips otherwise kick him onto the sofa or the floor lol. its important youcatch up on sleep now before your baby keeps you up all night.
good luck and merry xmas x

DO NOT MOVE TO THE COUCH!!!! That is unacceptable for a woman in your condition. You can do a combination of things: earplugs (but I find that doesn't work for me), the nose strips DO NOT work (don't bother), you can move him around (if he sleeps on his back, push on him to turn to his side and that'll stop it for a while), video tape him (not just audio) so he can see it for himself (it might make him do something on his own), he can use a vaporizer to open his nasal passages (b/c that's all it is, he can't breathe), both of you can drink some herbal tea before bed (camomile, anise or fennel tea) b/c that helps keep you in a deep sleep, but not too much so you don't wake the next day. HOPE THIS HELPS!
