I told my son when he was 12 because he was going to be starting middle school the next year and I knew kids would probably know the truth by then and tease him if he still believed in Santa. I hated having to tell him, but he told me he had been suspicious for the last couple of years. Later he told me he wished I hadn't said anything, but after I explained I didn't want him to be teased,he was appreciative.

Well a good age to tell your child there is no Santa is probably 10 or 11! Dont just come out and say it! Tell them I think you are old enough to know that we have been completely fooling you for 10 years and there is no Santa! They will be dissappointed at first but they will come around!

I would say about 9-10 years old is about right. I think that if they don't know by the time they're like 10 1/2 then you should tell them. Hope this helps!

Happy Holidays ☺

i'm no longer actual particular the thank you to respond to this question, yet i will inform you what i think of. infants are going to be uncovered to the full Santa concern no count what you do. you could no longer bypass to the mall or everywhere else for that count devoid of working right into a "Santa". pondering the compromise you have made, perhaps the perfect concern you will possibly be able to desire to do is (study approximately and clarify) on your infants approximately how St. Nick all started. additionally clarify the religious importance of Christmas. understanding the two memories will help your infants manage the two aspects of the priority. to boot, even the "sensible men" further presents to the toddler Jesus. Traditions constantly start up someplace. helping your infants understand the foundation of the traditions will help them save issues straigt of their very own minds. in basic terms curious: do you enable your infants take part in Halloween? or different trip journeys throughout the three hundred and sixty 5 days? good good fortune

Most kids as they get into middle elementary (9ish). There hear it from friends. There is no sit down moment of truth. I just told my two oldest that Santa lives in spirit and if you dont believe or ruin for your little brother you wont get what you want. Merry Christmas.

You explain the "legend" of Santa... then it gets clearer....

But I admire kids who believe in Santa around 12.... Very confident kids!!
