...please get your facts correct...us Brits colonized you lot a mere 200 odd years ago...Iran was a demoracy over 500 years ago as were the Greeks and Romans..not to mention most of Europe...you need to read some non bias history

The US is one of the worlds younger democracies for sure but it has really lost its way over the last 50 years. Look at the huge divide between the richest and poorest Americans - millions of people have no access to health care. The mortality rate is almost that of a third world country. Greed and stupidity seems to be the rule that defines the Bush administration and it would seem that most voting Americans agree with this.

The United States was not, and is not a "democracy." That's a huge misconception. In a true democracy, the majority would always trample the minority. The proper term for our government is a "Republic." Remember the Pledge of Allegience? "And to the Republic, for which it stands"
Ben Frankly once said: A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting what's for dinner. A republic is an armed sheep contesting the vote!
We vote "democratically," but the power of the government was intentionally severely restricted by the founding fathers to protect the rights of states and citizens, especially those in the minority.

yeah the USA is a damned good country...but George W Bush is running it to the ground. Instead of considering the economy, administiring aid to poor countries, or improving health care or the education system what does he do?
Goes and kills countless Iraqi soldiers, as well as innocent Iraqi women, old people and kids. I love my country and would fight for it, but war on an entire country and the murder of thousands of innocent lives to find a few terrorists...well I gotta ask was it worth it?
I don't think calling the USA a facist state is simplistic. I tihnk it just nicely sums up the hysteria the American joke of a government has gone out to create.

With the exception of Israel no country in the middle east has ever been a democracy. Even way back when and that includes Iran. Not saying Persia wasn't enlightened in its time but it really isn't anymore. Its an example of what happens when the religious zealots take control of government and a good example for the reason for separation of church and state. America take heed!

The reason it is simplistic, is because the person holding the view is naive. War is never a black and white issue and to infer that it is, shows ignorance on your part. Before taking such a simplistic approach in arriving at your current views, why not take a more in depth look at the issues? Maybe then you would be better informed and not make yourself look the fool.
