*Singing* Money, Money, Money, M-o-n-e-y! Politicians are dangerous to our health!
FYI we were involved in Vietnam long before JFK passed it on to LBJ.
Beginning in 1950
President Truman sends 35-man military advisory group to aid French fighting to maintain colonial power in Vietnam.
1954
After defeat of French at Dien Bien Phu, Geneva Agreements (July) provide for withdrawal of French and Vietminh to either side of demarcation zone (DMZ) pending reunification elections, which are never held. Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy (from 1954 onward) send civilian advisers and, later, military personnel to train South Vietnamese.
It's not a coincidence!

Well, technically, LBJ didn't get us into the damned Vietnam thing...he only prolonged it.
The first "military advisors" were sent to Southeast Asia in 1948!!! By the time Kennedy came to office, things were really nasty over there.....
I don't know about GHB....I didn't think he was worth a darn as a President but would go fishing with him....
As for Sonny boy, he's just plain stoopid. I also think he has serious problems between the ears...I believe he is a true sociopath and completely incompetent in all aspects of his life...certainly he doesn't have what it takes to be President......as we have seen for the past 7 years.

And they all had those three stupid sounding initials too! They could have been used for more and better things, like battery acid types, or shoe scrapings. Hey look I have GWB on the bottom of my shoe, I wonder if I got it when I poured the LBJ into my new battery? I probably should have used GHB instead.

War makes the rich richer. Oil companies, owners and board members of factories that make weapons, construction companies that are always sent in the rebuild. You are not paranoid. The powers that be are only interested in what ''they'' can get out of these conflicts and to h e l l with the little man.

Texas is a big state. The odds of more presidents coming out of Texas is higher than for most states. I think the problem has more to do with wealthy men (greedy bastards), in power than it has to do with what state they are from. I think we'd be better off if we drop a phone book on the floor and let a 6 year old kid point a finger to a name on a page, and that person is the next president.

And all those oil men are somehow in cahoots. While all of us struggle to pay for gas and the byproducts of gas and in the inflation transporatation adds to all goods sold , they are kissing the oil sheiks behinds. Remember last year when Exxon turned over the biggest profits in history? Guess who is behind that?

It's the Texan Cowboys and/or Massachusettes indians that have had us in turmoil since the beginning. If we were to black ball the Cowboys and Red Skins from the NFL, the world would be at peace.

No, that's not coincidence,
they all are (were) power mad.
You give a Texan the kind of
power that's in the White House, and he has to expend
it to the fullest.
Besides, they all had low
testosterone and had to make
up for it.

I am going for political interest but give LBJ a break. I think he inherited Vietnam somehow.

Well, LBJ didn't actually get us into it, we were already there.
But the reasons were the same for all. Financial interests.

Iraq: Oil
