Dryers generally run on 220 volt circuits. If the dryer is tripping circuit breakers and interfering with TV reception, you have a short somewhere on the 220 circuit.

You need to have an electrician check it out because a short can cause a fire.

If I was guessing, I'd guess that you either have the wrong size circuit breaker, or there are 110 lines attached to the 220 breaker.

Sounds like your 220volts (that's what dryers run on) is not properly wired.

Have an electrician in to run the line from your dryer to your breaker box and make sure that the ground and neutral are properly isolated.

I suspect that what you will find is that somewhere there's crosstalk between Neutral and Ground, and it's leaking over to the 120v that all your other household equipment runs on.

I say an electrician because running electrical lines and tracing them is a job for professionals!

Call a qualified electrician to check it out. Not a handyman, a real electrician.

Surge protectors don't trip. They only work once. I have no idea what you are talking about tripping.

Check your dryer to see what AMPs it needs. Then check your circuit breaker box and see how many amps circuit its on, if it needs a 50 AMP circuit and it has only a 30, thats your problem. It also sounds like you might not have 100 amp service to your house. If thats the case, it will cost some money to fix that, but it needs to be done.
