The best and most talked about dish at my party at work, was one that I brought. It was a sausage dip. It is by far the simplest appetizer to make as it takes no more than 20 mins or so to prepare.

1 16-ounce package of Jimmy Dean Maple Sausage
1 8-ounce package of Philadelphia cream cheese
1 10-ounce can of Ro-Tel mild diced tomatoes and green
chilies.

You brown the sausage in a deep skillet, add the can of tomatoes and green chilies, then gradually add the cream cheese in small portions. heat thoroughly and pour into a serving dish. I use the larger sized wheat thins for dipping.

You may want to use tortilla chips or crackers, and the brand of ingredients you use is unimportant. It is just what I have here in my supermarket.

You will find your dip to be the hit of any party. Hope you have a great holiday!!

Are you making the dinner? or just bringing desserts?

If it is a nicer scale dinner, I think pies are a great idea or a fruit pizza, or pumpkin dessert (which went over great around Halloween at work for me)

I've attached similar recipes for both.

-take 2 small boxes of jello, make it (but don't do anything with it just yet)
-take about 2 cups of thin pretzels, break them into little pieces.
-take a half stick of butter, melt it, then pour it over the broken pretzels.
get a 9x12 oblong dish, and spread your pretzels on the bottom.
-then take the jello mixture and pour it on top.
-let the jello sit, then when it's done use cool-whip (not whip cream) and spread it on top of your pretzel/jello concoction!

just for fun, let people guess what's in the jello!

this is a great dish, promise!
