Marijuana isnt bad for you. Its only illegal because Harry Anslinger
(head of treasury in 1930s) was having his multibillion industry threatened, so he appointed his nefew as head of dangerous drugs and narcotics, secret meetings were held to try to find a way to make one of the worlds best resources out of the way. Eventually the made a movie called "reefer madness"(look it up on google video[not on youtube]). All it did was tell lies to trick the naive americans into teahing thier children not to, and so on. America has been suffering eversince. in the 1920s it was predicted that all car fuil would be run an hemp, but those greedy bastards had to go and screw up everything for america. if you realy care go to norml.org (gives many facts of benifits of marijuana + pro-legalization of marijuana) if you have any questions or would like to know some helpful info when chosing where you stand you can email me (yahoo, if you scan these please dont delete my comment for this) nirvana270793@yahoo.com
if we ever want to make a natrual resource that was falsly accused of wrong doing we must make our voices heard (norml.org, ect.. email me if you want to know ways to stand for justice, [also sory if you dont care for politics but he can realy help, as he is the only presidential candiday that will talk about the taboo subject, due to fear of not getting elected Ron Paul, you can go to ronpaul2008.com]
Its a plant not an evil drug (also can be used to replace 10-20% of potentialy addictive and costly medications)

well some people say that they all should be legal, and have it up to the people whether they want to use them or not. the Prohibition time does somewhat apply here, only then it was something that was legal and then made illegal, to many it is a big difference seeing as most of these have not been legal for over 100 or more years. those that distributed alcohol in the prohibition time (the Mafia) are still doing the same today with these drugs, however the mafia is not so open with what it is up to in modern days.

Milton Friedman 1976 Economy Nobel Price, was against all kinds of control and regulations, if Drugs are legal then prices will go down and many pushers will not have enough motivation to initiate to drugs to our children, that sell their bodies when they are older enough to do it.
Police will not have the chance to be corrupted also politicians. Our countries will not be spending a lot of money for making hughe barriers and points of control to impede drugs going into our schools and streets.
Of cours the lesson lerned on the 20's apply becouse alcohol is a legal drug the same as tobacco.
Did You Know that half million people die in USA becouse of deseases coused by tobacco?
50.000 people is dead each year becouse of accidents coused by alcohol?
and only 3.000 people die becouse other iligal drugs?
un saludo desde Bolivia

why not ?
the people who do them don't care what the law is anyway...
A crackhead will be a crackhead regardless of the consequences...
Besides it's your body... At some point people need to take responsibility for themselves instead of relying on the government to protect us from ourselves.
Education is key.
The biggest problem i've seen in my youth is when kids get older and find out that all of the things they were told about drugs wasn't 100% accurate. The most important information that could save lives isn't talked about because people see it as "ecouraging" drug use... for example... NEVER mix street drugs with prescriptions ...your knocking on death's door by doing so, but they won't tell you that...they simpley tell you not to ever do any of it. Schools usually talk about drugs in the generic sense and lump them all in together as if they are all the same..obviously anyone rational would tell you that there is a big difference between a couple beers and some mary j, in comparison to "shooting up". "Just say no" is a nice slogan, but it doesn't really tell you a whole lot does it ?...an egg in a frying pan doesn't really convey the truth's about the negative affects of drugs...but it's a nice visual if you're 5 I guess. So what happens when kids reach 18 and start researching the negative health aspects of marijuana, and don't find any ?...they might begin to assume that not everything was as bad as they were told, because they weren't told the whole story. It's like telling kids not to have sex, without telling them why. "because I said so", works on children, but not on young adults.
People need to be responsible for themselves is what it all comes down to....regardless of the law.
I like to think of it as natural selection anyway...
-----Added-----
I challenge anyone to give me a reason why Alcohol and Tobacco should be legal, but Marijuana shouldn't be legal...?
Which of these kills more people ?
Which of these causes the most diseases ?
Which of these has the highest addiction rate ?
Which of these causes the most crime to be committed ?

Attempts to legalize drugs in other countries have proven disastrous. In Spain, in the mid-’80s, drug laws were softened, only to be strengthened in full force when Spain experienced a sharp rise in drug abuse and became a major trans-shipment destination. When Switzerland legalized drugs in 1987 there was a 30 per cent increase in crime in major cities. Legalization is definitely not the answer.

Sure as long as I am allowed to euthanize anyone I suspect of being under the influence of these drugs. You obviously have little knowledge of the effects these drugs have.

Marijuana should be properly classified as a food product, afterall, God gave it, and all plants like it, to Adam to be his food in GEN 1:29. As for those other vile chemicals they should remain illegal.

I think so.
It would reduce crime because gangs would not get money from selling drugs, because anyone could do it.
It wouldn't make it moral only legal.
I think you should be able to do anything you want as long as you do not infringe on someone Else's right to life, liberty, or property.

imho, we already have enough impaired drivers on the highways now.
on the other hand, if you'd legal shootings when an impaired driver causes an accident, maybe there'd be fewer such accidents in the long run.
