Stupidity and lack of self esteem are my guesses. I will never understand women that put their kids second to a boyfriend or stepfather.

I was pretty sure my sister-in-law beat my niece. My brother stayed with her and that made them both guilty, to me. They beat the system and didn't go to jail.
I cut my brother off and even my ex's family respects that decision. I love my niece, she's a brilliant girl. She asks questions about her father and I remind her why we don't talk to him. She's gorgeous, talented and willful. I love her independence and I encourage it. I'm so glad she lives with my parents and we all love her.She's her own person and independent.
My brother does not know either of the girls and it's his loss.He chose to stay with the horrible *****. That's not my problem and I don't care what happens to him.
