What do you think? Should the cheaters give back their ill gotten awards, or do we leave the past behind us and just move forward... Or should schiling just shut the hell up for a change and keep his opinions to himself. I completely agree with him and to be honest, I love when he runs his mouth, it's his right, right?

sorry Kris... but whether it's if he can't or because he can't the point remains the same... And to the guy who said Schiling should give back HIS rings for being and idiot... Thanks for the intellectual comment... that makes a ton of sense... NOT

For the record... I gave everyone a thumbs up who put any thought into their answer regardless if you agree with me or not. Absolutly, innocent until proven guilty is the american way, not the other way around. However there is evidence and I expect MLB to have hearings about these cases where they will have to prove they're not guilty of these allogations.

That's NOT what he said.

He said Clemens should give them back IF (IF) he can't prove his innocence, not that he can't prove it.

This is how stories get twisted, someone reads a headline and doesn't take the time to get the WHOLE story.

the actual question is - why is Curt Schilling talking as though he's the voice of baseball? except he gets voted into the location (a place that truly would not exist), he would not ought to be talking. I also have a severe project with people who think of their evaluations are greater significant than something and clearly Curt has this project. I evaluate him to a guy like John Smoltz. the two have had great careers. Smoltz will do some radio shows here and there and supply his opinion while asked FOR IT. He has some reliable takes on issues too yet he would not rigidity them down our throats like Schilling does. the main ironic component to all may be for Schilling's call to come again up in the subsequent rfile...who's to declare he's never taken something himself over the years? He acts like he's the right yet how humorous might or no longer it is if his call became linked to overall performance enhancers sooner or later. it would basically instruct what we already understand besides - that he's a blowhard and basically likes to hearken to himself communicate. He should not be signaling every physique out simply by fact he's no longer in the authority place to realize this, he pitches for the Boston pink Sox - it is it. He particularly needs to earnings to close his vast mouth and flow away the politics to the boys in cost.

no cheaters shouldnt give back the awards because there are tons of cheaters or people who have cheated to get an award. there is no way to tell who did what when where and how it affected the game. so if you were to take bonds/clemens awards away, you would have to do so for everyone who ever took anything and that would be impossible to do and it would be unfair to bonds and clemens that their awards were taken away but other cheaters' awards werent. this same idea goes for the HOF. if you keep bonds and clemens out of the HOF, you would have to clear a lot of faces off the wall, because there are tons of cheaters in the past who did something to gain an advantage.

Kris, you just hit the whole problem with this story and the steroids era. I tend to believe that Clemens was on the juice but why would Schilling expect Clemens to prove his innocence? In America, we tend to expect the other side to prove guilt. Again, I think that Clemens was a user, but to expect him to prove his innoncence is down-right unAmerican.

I don't think we should forget about it. We should realize tho that there is still absolutely no reason not to do hgh. There is still no acceptable test for it. They still aren't taking blood for testing. And they are still not storing blood or urine for future tests.

That said - no they shouldn't take his awards away. The runner-up through the 43rd runner-up was on hgh too.

Madman - The assumption of innocence until proven guilty is just provided for in a court of law. The rest of us are allowed to assume the realistic thing without trial-quality proof.

USA Sports Leagues are finally getting the same scrutiny the Olympics get. Take the records & the awards, period. Clemens & Bonds, best pitcher & best hitter of our time *smh* so how is our generation expected to explain our era to our children? We can't condone destroying baseball.

Yes he should, he didn't win them legally. Olympic Athletes who cheat give back their medals. Floyd Landis, lost his Tour De France victory, all because they used performance enhancing drugs. So, why, if they had to, shouldn't Clemens, Bonds, and whoever else has awards have to relenquish them. They cheated. I coach Little League, what is this telling my players if they are not punished (with fines and the lose of all their awards)?

I doubt he will part with them either way. Clemens is pretty much a me individual. Curt Schiling is always opening his big mouth not just about him but others, too.

He should give them back if, and when he is proven to be guilty. Personally, I think he is, but last I knew you were innocent until proved guilty in this country.
