I Only have a AGP Slot on a SD Rma motherboard.

I Currently have a 256mb XFX 6200 Geforce Graphic card.

I want to upgrade it to a 512mb XFX 6200 One but that is the latest model in 6 series available for AGP 8X in the market right now.

If I Change my current Card 256 to a New 512mb XFX 6200.

Will there be a boost in system performance and gaming capabilities.?

WILL THERE BE DIFFERENCE IN Graphic card performance between these 2 models listed below?.

1. 256mb Nvidia XFX 6200 DDR2
2. 512mb Nvidia XFX 6200 DDR

The 512 has a higher capacity but ONLY DDR

WILL IT BE A DIFFERENCE

MUST IT BE CONSIDERED?

which is better for gaming and graphics on Win Vista>

Or will there be no difference between the two COMPARINGLY?

The Nvidia 256mb has a faster memory clock speed than the 512mb card, but both core clock speeds are the same. DDR is slower than DDR2 so what I say is stick with the 256mb until you find a AGP card that is 512mb DDR2(DDR3) with a high core and memory clock speed for thats what makes the card more speedy. You wont find a difference when interchanging both cards because their both almost identical, but if you need 512mb of V-RAM fro your game, than that card is good for you.

This site will test your existing PC system for gaming speed against all the latest games:

I have the same card as Holness is offering. It runs all the latest titles easily, but first see how your existing card benchmarks at the above site.

At the moment most games run easily in 256 Mb, so a further 256 Mb is not going to improve things.

The amount of onboard memory on your card will make little difference in terms of performance unless your monitor has a high resolution.

You'd be a lot better off getting a different card altogether rather than one with just more video RAM.

can your cpu and ram take care of it. if the images card desires extra ram for a interest it received't provide up the game. it is going to suck it out of your cpu and ram potential. then the os operating the game will ask for extra ram to save the game going. so it would basically be your total setup. the older card likely worked extra ideal reason it has extra ideal ram administration.
