Stella has slept all through the night (from 11:00-11:30ish until 6:30 or 7 am) since she was 4 weeks old. Crazy, huh?! I feel pretty lucky about that, and since then she's stayed up longer, too durin the day.

My baby started sleeping all night by 4 months!! But still slept a lot during the day too. But he is 17 months now and sleeps a good 12 hours during the night and he has about 1-2 hours in the afternoon!!

My son did almost from birth. At less than a week old, he regularly slept through the night. We co slept with him (taking the necessary precautions), and he did great. Our friends couldn't figure out why their horrific "cry it out" method wasn't working, and they were pacing the halls at 3 AM for months. No, we didn't squish our son. No, he didn't die of SIDS. And no, he didn't end up being clingy. As a matter of fact, he made the smooth transition to his own crib (when HE decided he was ready) at 6 months, and has been sleeping soundly every night for three years.
I credit his good sleeping in part to the nurturing he got at night, and in part to the pure dumb luck of getting a great kiddo =) He seemed to know almost from birth that days were for staying awake and observing, and nights were for sleeping. He fell asleep around 7:30 PM, woke up at 8 to nurse and be changed, and then slept for a couple more hours - until about 10:30 AM or so. I'm really praying Baby #2 is as easy!

At 5 weeks... She was up every 3-4 hours until that point. At 5 weeks, we started co-sleeping... and immediately, she started sleeping for 5-6 hours after we first put her down, wake up for one feeding, then goes back to sleep for 4 more hours or so. She also is awake for 3-4 hours at a time during the day broke up by 1 1/2 hour naps.

Mine didn't start sleeping all night until about last week! But he still takes naps during the day. Just wait til they have growth spurts! You'll be up a couple of times in the middle of the night finding the baby!!!

Between 2 and 3 months. What a blessing!
Plus she cat naps during the day, for about an hour or so. She is starting to interact more and more. : )

My son started sleeping through the night when he was 10 days old. We figure this occurred because we put him in his crib, in his own room, right from the first night he was home, so it was immediately normal. He also never had colic, so that helped too. Establishing a routine as early as possible and sticking to it is the key.

The first one, at 3 months, started sleeping right through the night, the second one, at 19 months.
Each is different. Adjust your routine to suit!
