Cute question!
This is what I remember:
First day of elementry school: My mom didn't start me in Kindergarten until the end of the year, but I happened to know one of the other girls in the class from the neighborhood. When the class took their "nap" I put my sleeping mat next to hers and I remember her feeling my hair and telling me that it was as soft as a rabbit's fur. Weird thing to remember, but, there you have it!
First day of high school: I just remember getting lost looking for my PE class and showing up late for it...soooo embarassing.

1. i remember my mom being very worried, i think she even followed me to school, i met a lot of cool kids.
2. i remember it being really awkwardly quiet until i got to see some of the girls from elementary school
3. high school was the best, i remember my schedule was all messed up and i had like 14 different classes in which i was introduced to the entire high school practically. Being the only Arab in the area it was pretty big with a lot of kids, women and other ethnicities mainly.

You had to ask THIS question didn't you !
Don't you know that I was scarred for life ?
Firstly by my mother dressing me like an little English schoolboy for my first day of school here in Australia ...I had the little red blazer & matching cap...that was enough to cause me total public humiliation !
Then at high school , I was the ONLY kid not to have the complete uniform ...what were they thinking ?
Never went to Senior high school...I was spared further indignity !

I'm sorry I guess these days were not memorable enough to leave a lasting impression.
I do remember my first day in 11th grade. I started in a new high school and in home room I sat next to a girl with the last name of Lopez and she was a knockout.

Nice question..........Thank you for bringing memories to my mind.
1...I was so surprised and watched how most of the kids cried. My elementary teacher was a nice old lady that had been my mom's teacher also.
2..The terrible huge Principal, (he was slim and very tall)always running after the kids and punishing them..
3..Very embarrasing...I was the younger in the class, but the tallest too. Even I was taller than the boys. Thanks to God some of them grown up , and after some years I married one of them.

Earliest recollection is middle of the first grade when we moved. Went back to school after lunch and could not find my room. Mother walked me back and taught me how to count the doors to get there. That was like 56 years ago.

I tend to remember very little of my school years--many years ago. Too many memories have replaced those. Sorry.
