Why house spiders don't move for too long when you spot them?

Is that one spider observing you or just going about its own business?

probably because their perceived "safe distance" is a lot smaller than ours, being so small compared to us.

They don't move for long cause I yell for someone to squish them!!!HHHELP!!!!!
