jealousy is a problem. for some more, for some less, but it's a problematic thing to overcome. i will agree with handyman that there are types of jealousy, and the dangerous type is the one that disables you or your s.c. "element of wish" from moving freely. i cannot support the words of the bible that state things like "don't be jealous", because it's like shooting someone in the head and then telling them to live. we are jealous because it is in our nature. you will be jealous no matter what, and you cannot "deal" with it from the very same reason. the best thing you can do is to try and make yourself understand that the person is still yours and some simple contact will not change that.

Jealousy is a difficult trait to overcome. But there are two kinds. There's healthy jealousy and harmfull.
You can tell the difference if you pay attention.
It's very important to allow your mate to mingle with the opposite sex. But it also pays to keep a watchfull eye.

Jealousy typically refers to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. This rival may or may not know that he or she is perceived as a threat.
i sometimes experience it, but i try to overcome it because the bible says do'not be jealous!
so i try not to

i think it doesn't matter what people say, its what people do, so you will never get the truth by asking questions, just imagine that your partner has slept with all of your friends, and it is a shock at first but then its ok, and then you will think, well, why have they chose me if they are having sex with other people, and then you will think, damn i have to do more for this person,
thats my experience anyway.
