I got some practice laps on a friends YZR-250 in like 1974...I had an AMA experts license in flat track and motorcross so I was allowed on the track....obviously I didn't want to crash the scooter so didn't scrape any knee pads, but I gave it a pretty good go...All I can say is that is a big track...they didn't have the chicane at turn 3 on the oval back then either, so when you hit turn 3 off the back straight you were cranking...his 250 ran about 175 as I recall...

Living in the UK, it one of the few track that I really want to, but never do.

I ridden [ most ] in the UK, a few in Europe, but its a long way to go for a track day.

If I was to pick track's in the US it would have to be Laguna, Road America and Barber Motorsports Park.

Shame they are six K away !
