My husband keeps promising to come see me and our son, but he never does. He never calls me and I'm getting depressed. Why do men have to be so mean?

I'm so sorry that you are being mistreated. I really don't understand why he is not with you and your child in the first place. Nonetheless, even though I know it hurts; Chickie you do NOT have to be sub-servant to be submissive. You only submit to a person who knows that there is a higher power than themselves. You only submit to someone that will appreciate you and your child. If you are running up behind someone, sweetheart you will have to do it the rest of your life.
Sometimes in life no matter the consequences, we have to make some tough decisions. As unfortunate, as it is, love doesn't last as long as it use to. I don't know whether or not you are familiar with the King James Bible. It tells us that at the onset of the last days here on earth, men will be lovers of themselves. All I can say is brace yourself and enjoy the rest of the ride. If you are not a Biblical person or adhere to any religious believes, I humbly ask for your forgiveness. If you are a beliver, pray like no bodys business for direction.

I am not really asking myself that question of why men have to be so mean, yes there are men that are mean, and are men that are not.
What I'm asking is why you have chosen a husband that is mean.

Don't just narrow your question to men. There are plenty of women who treat men like dirt too. Your husband sounds like a jerk. That's not strictly a gender issue.

"Why are men so mean?" Well not all men, but I believe cause they were so close to an asshole for nine months it rubbed off on them and made it their job for the rest of their pathetic existence.
