I try to be a chameleon. I want everyone to like me. Could you be my friend? Oh please. Could you be. I will try to be just like you. I have learned a long time ago that role models have feet of clay. I plot my own course, not matter how off the charts it may be. That is why I am still working at McDonalds' Would you like fries with that answer?

In my younger year, early 20's, I did try to be like others whom I thought had it "all", or had accomplished things similar to my own goals; but as I grew older, and felt like things just weren't working out for me in my life as I thought they would, I realized I had to gain self confidence, stop trying to be like everyone else, and instead, take what they do as an example, and accept who I was (am), actually like "me". Things started to change and gradually improve. My career, my love life, my success, etc.
Today I am proud to say that I am happy to be me, and have a very fulfilling life, and I'm very grateful to those who inspired me along the way.

You should be true to yourself, but if you have a good role model no harm in learning from them. To be them is not what I mean though- just learn from their mistakes, their successes.

I accept me as I am, but I recognize there is always room for improvement. So I don't think I will be the same person in 10 years as I am today, I will be ME but better.

I accept what I am. Trying to be just like someone else would just be a poor copy of them. And there wouldn't be much point. :o)
