Hold onto it.
the value of those is rising. the 79 has a 150 mph speedometer which with 3000 miles on it is worth 3-400 bucks alone. Do the TLC hang on to it 5 more yrs. Polish it up, make it as pretty as possible, and list it on ebay with a 5000 reserve, cheap as a a few newspaper ads. people will see it and bid, and you will know its value. you can part it out for big bucks, the alternator and stator will bring 300 plus all day long, and a matched side covers and tank is another 500, plus it may be an anniversary edition, it will say so if it is, that body kit is worth 1000 bucks to the right guy, remember its worth nothing to the wrong guy.

LOW MILEAGE ANNIVERSARY EDITION!!!!
5000 OR MORE EASY. FIX THE ISSUES , GET THE BIKE IN THE LIVING ROOM AND POLISH IT TILL IT LOOKS NEW.

you're probably going to be greatly dissapointed. (assuming you're in the U.S.) With the economy in the toilet at the moment, and the whole chopper fad fading fast, older bikes just aren't bringing as much. I'd be highly suprised if you get over 2K$ for it. Honestly, without seeing what we're talking about, I'd say somewhere between 1200 and 1500$.
