Well proper to me means traditional foods like ham or turkey, yams, cranberry sauce..etc. This year we are doing traditional but adding Italian to it as well. I am going to make a huge pan of baked ziti with meatballs. My step-dad is Italian so I wanted to include some foods that he used to eat when he was a child for Christmas dinner.

Uhm-- kind of subjective. For me-- if it's not a large turkey with oyster stuffing, it's not a proper Christmas dinner.

With that said, I think they're making a rib roast where we're going. I'll live.

Just a normal roast chicken dinner, nothing special. Dont like turkey, mince pies or christmas pudding anyway!

We rarely have turkey anymore... noone really likes it in my family.... we're having lamb and duck this year.
Odd together I know but some are having lamb, some are having duck.
Last year we had venison

i won't be acknowledging christmas this year. the consumerism shoved down my throat each year around the holidays makes me sick and i won't spend one penny on it. so i am going to sit around the house and enjoy my time off and eat whatever i have in the fridge on dec. 25
