feed them fresh/frozen vegetables and fruit everyday such as peas carrots banana and about 6 small crickets each on every 2nd or 3rd day this worked fine for me and now i got two big lovery dragons dont feed them mealworms as they have a hard shell that can get stuck in their digesive systems and kill them i know this from experience and dont worry about variety in the insects because they love crickets so much they wont get bored of them i have feed mine them all there life and they still love them more than every and rember to keep up the insects as babies eat 80% insects and only 20% vegtable

To correct a previous poster...
Babies should eat crickets 3 times a day, as many as he can eat in about 15 minutes. That means a baby can go through around 100 crix a day! They can also eat roaches, silkworms, phoenix worms (NOT mealworms). Live prey should be no bigger than the space between your beardie's eyes.
Also, never feed your dragon wild caught bugs, as they may have been exposed to pesticides, fertilizers or other chemicals and parasites.
Anyway, this site has a good list of foods, their nutritional content and which ones are good for your beardies and which ones are not:

Bearded dragons are relatively easy to house reptiles from Australia. They have picked up a special place for themselves in the pet race and are slowly becoming one of the most popular pets for families. Compared to other reptiles, these beardies are friendlier and socialize easily. As bringing any pet home requires owners to be familiar with choosing, housing, feeding and maintenance tips, this is where a good book comes in handy.
The one I recommend can be found here http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=571

Keep in mind baby beardies are primarily insectivores eating very little in the way of greens and veggies - but by the time they're adults this will have gone the other way - more salad, less bugs.
You had two other good answers for items to add to the diet (except for green leaf lettuce - it's the best of them all, but still not nutritious enough for reptiles) - but just don't expect the greens to be relished...:-)

Some people are just so stupid, dont listen the freak fairy above, go with the first fella.
Veggies and tiny crickets also... Turnup greens, collard greens, wax worms, butterworms, cockroaches, green leaf lettuce, chopped up cactus, cactus fruit, canned pumpkin (pure). Good luck.
