You are so right!! It is the cutest!
Another - we have my son's crib in our room. He is 8 months old. He often wakes up before us and I hear him entertaining himself. Then we look over to his crib and we see him holding himself to standing. So we see little hands and a little head above the crib railing. He's just smiling away - as happy as can be! So cute!

You are so right! I love starting my day this way. My son woke up in the middle of the night last night so I put him in bed to snuggle and this morning I got up to get ready for work while he was still sleeping. When I came out of the bathroom he was snuggled up against his dad looking up at me with those big blue eyes just smiling so big. :) I've been in a great mood ever since.

It's adorable. Our daughter is 7.5 months old. I love it when she awakens and "talks" to herself. If she feels me turn to look at her, she scoots herself to the end of the crib and sticks her little hand out! It's an amazing feeling!

I love that. She will just stand up and look around and say "mama" "daddy" its the most adorable thing ever. That is the best way to wake up.

I agree. I love waking up to the sounds of my little guy. Especially now that he's older and call for me.

I know, my girl always wakes up like that, never crying (only when she was a newborn). They are the cutest things on earth!

so true, absolutely the cutest. sometimes i hear my baby wake up on the monitor. i can hear her stretching and grunting and yawning and cooing. then i walk in her room and she looks at me like she's happy to see me. Sometimes she starts crying for me to pick her up tho. its such a blessing when they wake up in a good mood

Uh, no.
I think leaving a baby alone in a cage is kind of sad, really. I'd worry about how long she'd been up for, and if she thought she'd just been abandoned or something, and...
I enjoy my baby, and I enjoy the two of us waking up together.
I feel better knowing I'm not leaving mothering to some sort of electronic Fisher-Price gizmo strapped to the side of the pen.
Different strokes for different folks...
I am not actually _trying_ to be a sh!t, here. I am genuinely amazed as to how leaving babies in cribs makes anybody all that happy. I would be rather pained to have my baby routinely wake up by herself.
(She is sleeping on me in a sling as I type this...)

Enjoy it while it lasts. Before you know it, they're sleeping in a regular bed, wonder into your room in the morning grouchy because they have to go to school, then you get to argue for 15 minutes because they want to watch Spongebob, but in reality they need to get dressed for school.

That is the favorite part of my day, knowing my baby is happy to see me even though she can't talk.
