Right, I have a 14 foot trampoline and enclosure for Christmas day. The problem is, I wanted to have it in the garden all built up, for Christmas morning when the kids wake up, (obviously we can't make it before Christmas day as it would spoil the surprise) and their bedroom faces the garden. Unless my partner is out at 3 on the morning building it, I can't see a way round it. Suggestions please. Thanks

I suspect they might suspect that they will be getting it.

If I was in your place, I'd actually extend the gifting of it over a reasonable pace for whoever is doing the fabrication, and let the kids see the progress. By Christmas morning the thrill won't be lost, in fact it will be heightend by the fact that they will actually be able to use it.

No real offense, but sometimes SANTA isn't the only one gifting, and the practical side of this issue might work just fine.

I have a 12 foot trampoline ( Big kid I know! ) it took me and my boyfriend around 2 and a half hours to put it up, so be cautious of time!
I think some of the ideas other people have gave are pretty good. Are they getting anything else that would occupy them for Xmas day, so your partner could put it up on boxing day as well.
Or you could perhaps ask a friend/relative to sit in with the kids in one room ( closed curtains ) and watch a film and make sure they don't peep out of the curtains - lie and say Santa will see them and give their present to another child.
Try and get the kids all asleep by about 9.30pm, hard to do on Christmas eve, then go out and put it up. They'll love it!
Merry Christmas.

Wow! Been there! Did the same thing! I put one together a 14' by myself in about an hour and a half! Read over the directions so good that ya won't need them when ya put it together! The frame is easy! The first 3/4 of the springs is easy! The last few springs? Well ya might need some ingenuity to gain leverage! But any way I put this one together in one yard and then drug it over to the other yard where my daughter could see it Christmas morning! It was worth the effort even on a cold michigan Christmas eve to put it together! Good Luck! Merry Christmas!

Get rid of the kids during the day - to grandparents or friends - or take them out shopping so that your partner can put up the trampoline in daylight. Don't bring the children home until after dark when all the curtains will be closed. It'll be too dark for them to see anything out of the bedroom window that evening.

send the kids to your Mother's/friend's house for a while, then build it! Then sneak the kids back in around the back or front depending on where the trampoline is and tell them to go to bed because Santa is coming (and if they try and stay awake, say Santa will know and will never come again unless they sleep)

I don't think you will get what you want! The way the weather is in the mornings do you really think your kids will want to rush out in the Pj's to have a go on it. I think your partner might be best putting it up while the kids are opening their other presents!!!

Sorry, short of the kid staying over at friends houses, you have to do it on Christmas day.

Can you ask one of your neighbors to hide on on the side of their house or something? Or can it be broken down into two or three parts and easily assembled?
