Oh difficult question. Im arguing with my mother in law now and my husbands stuck in the middle. But I would say my spouse.. once i got married, he became my immediate family. I live with him on a daily basis. but im lucky, I have understanding parents

and the bible does say to leave your parents and stick to your spouse...abuse would be another story
