No. First, you don't generally die from a viral infection. Second, even if you don't have health insurance the hospital will treat you.

Oh, and there are some cases where you get a viral infection and have insurance and die anyway.

That depends on what virus you are infected with, and the state of your overall health & immune system.

Some viruses - such as Ebola, will kill anyone very quickly whether they have insurance or not. Others will give you a runny nose.

If you do get a virus there are very effective Chinese herbal remedies available - and they are cheap ($2 to $4 per bottle).

However you have to get the right ones for the type of bug that you have contracted. So it is best to visit a traditional chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner. They don't cost as much as doctors, and one visit should do to get treatment underway.

Some of these pills are effective antivirals that work better than such drugs as Tamiflu, and without the nasty side-effects..

However your TCM should know which brands are safe, because there is a wide range of quality between manufacturers, and some have been known to contain toxic substances such as mercury.

Most common viral infections remain completely untreatable by modern medical science, so all the health-insurance in the world won't help you.

Those that are "treatable" usually consist of suppressing the symptoms, not curing you.

Doctors have become notorious for handing out "antibiotics" for viruses - and about all they've done is breed supergerms which pose a greater threat to us than the virus ever did.

A simple viral infection not properly given medical care can cause death due to absence of a health insurance for which the candidates for President must be concerned.

You could... For instance, if a person has HIV, the medicines to keep it from developing into AIDS are VERY expensive and without health insurance, s/he may not afford the meds which prevent that development... As to those who claim the cold and flu are viruses that no one dies from--they're wrong. Very young and very old people can die as a result of both of those.

Depends on the infection but if it is something like the AIDS virus then yes.

A cold is a viral infection. Very few people, regardless of insurance status, die from them. What's your REAL point?

There are millions of people with no health insurance and viral infections and they are living.
What kind of infection are you talking about?
Besides everybody dies, is going to die, will die, are dying...

No. The flu and the common cold are viruses, and doctors can't do anything about that. Aids is a virus that will kill you, but seeing a doctor won't cure it. It's bacterial infections that can't be cured without treatment.

You could, but really they will give you a huge debt and you just go broke. So you'll wish you did.
