We got married young and didn't have anything to protect at all, so there really wasn't any point. We have stuff now, and I guess if we get divorced, it's going to go 50/50 now.

Hell ya!

Actually what I would do if I ever married again is have the whole shabang the preacher ect...and not file the paperwork!
Not that I don't plan on staying married forever because if I ever did it again I would stay but I never thought I would end up with nothing in my last marraige.
When the love is gone so is everything else.

I am not letting no man take what I suffered and worked for!
If you leave your leaving with what you came into it!

I would insist on a credit check too.
They have link the personality types of people who do not pay their bills on time as the same people that would neglect a relationship and even cheat.

yes i would insist because if i worked hard for MY house, MY car, & MY stuff etc before i get married then i get married & this girl wants to divorce me & when she leaves me she can get half of MY stuff BEFORE WE GOT MARRIED that i worked for that wouldn't be right. when u divorce u should get what u deserve during the marriage not someone's things before the marriage even happened. this is the exact reason why a growing number of men won't get married because they fear that if they divorce a woman they will be paying her for a long time. that's a why a prenup is helpful. its protects a person't assetts for they got married. you should never be allowed to get the other person's things before the marriage. they worked hard for that. they sacrificed.

no.. i mean its like you are getting married knowing that one day you are getting a divorse.. i mean if there is no trust there and you think there is a divorse on the way,, why will you get married on the first place.. thats why you need communication and trust in a marriege in other to be a succesful marriage.
