because I want McNabb to stay? I mean really, what do we have at QB besides him? AJ Feeley......good back-up but not a starter. Kolb....who knows, I'm not sold on him yet though. This reminds me of the draft, when everyone was booing McNabb because they wanted Rickey Williams. At the time we had Duece Staley and Charlie Garner, a great 1-2 attack. And who did we have at QB???? RODNEY PEETE!!!!!! Get a brain Eagles fans, McNabb has got ALOT of tread left on his tires, no need to throw an unproven rookie into the fire, and dear GOD don't start Feeley!!!!!!

I'm with you, the insane trade talk coming out of Philadelphia. McNabb is their ONLY chance at winning, I would rather see Reid go. Andy just has not been with it this year, team not prepared and the usual bad game plans and time management. The Eagles need a great WR and a bruising RB as well as some youth in the D.

No I want mcnabb to stay. To be honest I think Kolb was a HUGE waste. He's going to be a good backup and thats it. Mcnabb has 3 maybe 4 more good years in him. There are plenty of Eagles fans that are behind him you just hear about those few who want him gone because thats all the media concentrates on. Unproven is an understatement for Kolb. He hasn't even practiced with the first team yet. Mcnabb hasn't had much help from his WR's or O line. Kevin Curtis is a good solid WR but they need a playmaker. Someone the D has to worry about other than westbrook. I'd put big money on Mcnabb coming back next year and having a great season.

Randy Moss went for a 6th round pick. What could McNabb be worth? a number 2 at very best, and that seems overly optimistic. didn't culpepper try to force a trade a couple of years ago? how did that work out.

He will not be a free agent- he's under contract for two more years.

They don't need a WR. Feeley proved that these wide recievers can get open, when he made the start against NE.

McNabb will be back under center next season. Joe Banner said "I see no scenario in which McNabb would not be back next year"

More consistent and improved offensive and defensive line play along with secondary help are all the Eagles need. That and the QB to make better decisions. McNabb is still one of the very best

I think most Eagles fans want McNabb back next year. But he has to play a LOT better than he has this year. If he comes out next year and is the same QB he's been THIS season then there will be no reason to bring him back again because he has been below average this year.

i agree with both sides on this matter...

I think McNabb takes more crap than he deserves and he does, as you say, have ALOT of tread on his tires. As for his game, he has no one to throw too and a pretty crappy O-line, these things will make tom brady look bad

however, he is very injury prone! I mean he is just so banged up and without a solid O-line he is going to continue on with the injuries...

so i dont know, i think getting rid of him is NOT AT ALL the answer the eagles are looking for but at this point i think they are looking for someone to put all the blame on and since eagles fans never warmed up to the man, he is the obvious target.

Oh yea, and dear god, seriously, DONT start feeley, one good game does not make him a saint... even Ritay has a few touchdown over in AZ... so lets not get hastey here people

there are very few sane eagles fans to begin with so even without the mcnabb debate you may be the only sane eagles fan.

i dont know about the fans wanting to keep mcnabb but i'll bet that mcnabb sure doesnt want to stay in philly! they are the worst fans in the nation, especially to him and i think that he desires a new location since the only time he wasnt badmouthed by all of philly during his carreer was during the regular season in 2004.

it's not so much about McNabb vs (name replacement) - McNabb may produce more than Feeley, but he is also paid 10-20 times as much. That's valuable cap space that can be used elsewhere.

He's not worth what he's making anymore, and that is why he should go, not because they necessarily have something better waiting in the wings.

McNabb is a good quaterback on an otherwise not so good team with a lot of off the field issues (Andy Reid). He doesen't seem to be happy there, & I honestly don't think he's close to being 100% healthy. They'd be better off trading him for a WR, or finding a good one for him to throw to.

I'm not an Eagles fan, but McNabb is a very talented athlete, who can take that team a long way.
