Try Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austin. There is a reason it is still in print after 200 years, and that it is a wonderful book. The language is basically modern English, so that makes it not too difficult, and it is the universal love story. If you feel a little daunted, try renting the BBC/A&E 6 hour miniseries. It is a very faithful remaking of the book. Then read the book, and enjoy all the nuances. Knowing the ending will only make you love Miss Elizabeth Bennet even more.

I'm 14 too, and I enjoy reading Young Adult fantasy novels. The best are the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, and any books by Meb Cabot or Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

I'm in the young adult age group too. Some good books I might reccomend are the Twilight series, (I know it's already been suggested but maybe if enough people say it you'll be so curious you'll have to read it) the Harry Potter series, and the Uglies series (also already noted here). Hope I helped.

Hi, I'm a writer and a recently published author. My new book is titled Love's Soft Voice. My book is easy to read and clean. Most people say that it's hard to put down once you start to read it. I'd be honored if you'd visit my website at http://www.rubysbooks.i8.com. The genre for my book is historical fiction. Ask your parents to visit the site with you because they will enjoy it too. Thanks
