Why is it that me and my ex-boyfriend still have feelings for each other but we just can't get back together?

It's like we still have feelings for each other because whenever I ask him to do something for me he does it or when he ask me to do something for him I do.
Then our bestfriends keep telling us we need to get back together because we made a good couple.
So should I ask him whether or not we should get back together or should I just wait for him to ask me?
I just don't know what to do
I'm just so confused because I straight have feelings for him

There is a difference between wanting to be with someone and forever having fond feelings for someone. This can happen as well.

You and your boyfriend may always care about each other but that doesn't mean that it is meant to be. Often times are feelings lie in the realm of 'what was' or 'what could have been' versus 'what is'. If it is meant to be it won't be forced; it will be fluid and things will just work out.

There are not 'rules' You don't have to wait to see what he feels. Tell him you miss the relationship and you want to pursue it again. It won't hurt to try. Exposing your feelings is never a bad thing. It's a part of being expressive and living life to it's fullest. Who knows, it could be the catalyst for something greater with him, OR the catalyst to allow you to shut the door completely, and move on as well.

What you may need to do is remember why he is your EX. There is usually a very good reason for that.
You don't need some guy to treat you as a default setting in between conquests.
You also don't need to have your loins calling the shots in your life.
