Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

Because it's the air..or evaporation of the liquid substance that allows glue to work. Leave bottle opened, and the glue will stick to the bottle once the middle is done drying. If you were to apply glue to the outside of the bottle, where air can do it's job, it would stick.
