Give it the bent of civil rights. The USA has a clause in the constitution which states that there will be "separation of church and state". These intolerant religious fanatics are violating that by claiming "It's against God's law", and homosexuality is Biblically "unnatural", and using that to influence the rule of law.
Every human on the planet has the right to love anyone they choose to, regardless of sexual orientation, which by the way isn't a "choice". Gays and lesbians are born that way.
Besides, if it was so "against God's laws", then why were we created in the first place?
