I woould rather be told the truth. Even though that hurts you, you have to respect the person that told you for telling the truth. And when someone lies and you find out later, not only are you hurt, but you also feel betrayed. It's just always safer to go with the truth.

No question, I'd rather hear the truth even if it hurts. Lies are more painful than truth. Lies are a betrayal of trust. Truth builds respect.

Well the truth has a habit of coming out at some point so I think it's better to be hurt just the once.

I'd rather tell the truth. The truth hurts, but that's reality. If you lie, your going to have to eventually cover up that lie and then cover up the two lies you lied about, and then it just becomes a never ending cycle...

The truth. Although we sometimes tell little lies rather than hurt someone. For example, when my wife asks me how her new shoes look, I always say, "Wow, those are nice" even if I don't like them. It's call the art of a happy marriage.

The truth may hurt but it doesn't hit you as hard as being told it a long time after you should have been told, or never being told it fully in the end!
