I got a work contract to 16 weeks.
It's a FIXED TERM CONTRACT.
After that I will start a new work contract.
It will be a PERMANENT CONTRACT.
What benefits it bring to me?

I'm in the UK (United Kingdom) - hope someone could help on it because I'm very undecided about what is better for me and what I will to do...if I accept or denied work as PERMANENT CONTRACT job.

A fixed-term employee is defined as 'a person with a contract of employment which is due to end when a specified date is reached, a specified event does or does not happen or a specified task has been completed'..
Examples of fixed-term employees are:
Additional staff taken on for six months during a peak period
A specialist employee taken on for the duration of a project ,
Someone employed to cover during another employee's maternity leave.
No longer can companies afford lifetime appointments for employees and hence they are now appointing permanent contract workers , whose tenure of service resembles those of life time employees but the benefits available to life time employees are not available to them ..

Depends on what benefits you have negotiated...

By benefits, I assume you mean vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, health insurance, etc.

Again, I think it depends on what is negotiated.

If you mean other types of benefits, I would say that since it is a permanent, contracted job, it would be difficult (although not impossible) to terminate you.
