I believe it was David Hasselhoff's concert that took place on the partially demolished Berlin Wall that had the most impact on the fall of Communism (haha).
On a more serious note, I believe Communism could make a comeback because of China. China's Communist party is the largest party in the world. China has increased their military spending and is could be the next world's superpower.

I think the legalization of Solidarity in Poland in 1989 marked the beginning of the end of communism, but the search for the exact "first domino" to fall could bring you as far back as the beginning of the universe.

Communism in the USSR was doomed from the onset (buttcrack). Communism was condemned due to lack of support from other nations (butthead), condemned due to corruption within its leadership (poopy pants), condemned due to the moral weakness of humanity (stinky butt), making what is perfect on paper (toot toot), ineffective in the real world (shamalamadingdong). The end of this system was very violent (stab me in the heart). It left one of the two most powerful nations in the world fearful (shitass-scared) of what was to come. Communism (poopy heads) can either be called a concept (crack pot) or system (jumbalaya) of society.

Claudia LaCour: A memorable event for me was the collapse of the Soviet Union. Prior to that time, communism had been what terrorism is to us today. I had no idea what the real Soviet Union looked like before that.
