Okay well I'm 18 and a freshmen in college and don't drink alcohol but my friends do and I find nothing wrong with that and I never drank in high school either. Lately I feel that maybe I should because I don't want people to think that I'm boring and since I'm going to a different school next semester I figure it would be a good way to meet people. It seems like that's all everyone I know is interested in they know I don't drink and don't care and I don't drink because I think it's stupid. I just feel somewhat left out like I'm missing out on something and I'd have more fun doing stuff like that and other stuff too. I do have fun doing other stuff I'm not boring people tell me I'm fun and funny ext. But I can't always get them to do other stuff sometimes all they ever do is talk about drinking and when they do drink they make fools of themselves and think it's funny but it's not. I tell them they look like idiots but they don't listen. What do you think I should do?

You're not missing out on anything. Drinking can be fun, but it can cause a lot of problems too. You should never do something that you really don't want to do simply because you feel pressured. There is nothing wrong or abnormal with not wanting to drink, some people just don't enjoy it. With that said, drinking is a large part of the college experience for many people and your friends are not likely to change for a few more years. Perhaps you could work on finding a few more friends who also don't drink and you could either spend time with them or invite them along to be sober with you when your friends who drink want to party.

You should never do something just because everyone else is doing it. That just leads to trouble. I think you are wonderful for not wanting to drink. Drinking only causes problems. Nothing good NEVER comes from drinking. I have lost family, money, freedom, and almost my life, all because of drinking. It truly is not worth it. Please don't drink. Later in life, you will be glad. Also, most of my childhood friends are dead from drinking. Either car crashes, or scleroses of the liver, or a domestic dispute. Please don't drink.

You shouldn't change who you are just because you feel like your missing out on things. Personaly I think that you deciding not to drink is Awesome. If you think its stupid then don't do it. Its really up to you though nobody can make this decision for you. Good Luck!

be proud of what quality you have. dont force your self to drink just to socialize. always think best for you especially for your health. if you drink, they are not the one who will suffer in the future but its you. think twice or even thrice before you want to be drunk all the time.

Your not legal-don't risk it, but IF you do, eat a good meal before & after unless you wanna get sick & wake up with a "hang-over"-end of story.
