with bleeding your doctor probably wants you on full bed rest, this means, stay in bed, no cooking, no cleaning no nothing. I was on bed rest my last two pregnancy's for several months. I was not able to cook, clean, pick up the kids nothing absolutely nothing but stay in bed. The first time around it was not so bad cause it was my first child and I lived with my mother in law. But round two was so much worse, my son wanted me to play and take him to the park and all our usual activities, and I was not able to. I ended up having to move back in with my mother in law, because the doctor said if I did not stay in bed he would admit me to the hospital with no TV, no visitors no nothing. It is very uncomfortable and very boring, but here are a few things that help pass the time, if you don't have a t.v in your room, get one!! Also a laptop is a good ideal, so that you can still play on the computer. I enjoy reading books, and my husband bought me a game system and a few video games to help pass the time. When I absolutely could not stand it any longer, I would sneak to wal-mart and look around. They have the little carts you can ride in so you are not on your feet!
You should call your doctor just to be sure of what he/she does not want you doing, that way you can follow their orders and not put yourself or the baby at risk. best of luck to you!!

There are different levels of bed rest, your doctor should have specified what you are and aren't supposed to be doing. I would call the doc right away and find out more details. But generally I would stay in the bed, only get up to go to the bathroom. Do you have someone to help you? I was on bedrest for 20 weeks, it is no fun but all worth it when you get to hold your baby. Good luck! :)

Bed rest is when you have to pretty much devote the rest of your pregnancy or however long you are on it to your bed. You can get up and get a drink very carefully, or go to the bathroom. You can't go out. You can't be on your feet. Basically it's like laying in a hospital after surgery for a while. I hope everything goes well. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Bed rest means exactly that, stay in bed. Lie down on your left side because it pulls the baby away from your liver. I was told I could shower and fix a light meal like a sandwich, otherwise, I was to remain in bed. Rent some movies and watch them with the kids. You don't have to be in bed, but lying down. Don't forget the pillows!

Bed Rest....resting on your bed.

The doctors are afraid that any physical movement or activity can cause more problems...like a miscarriage.

How far along are you?

It means get in bed and stay there except to use the restroom.

Sorry but that's usually what it means.
