The use of an email can used on any computer that you have access to providing that computer doesn't have some kind of restrictions that may have been added to it, in case your using a company computer, most will those restrictions .
Here's an simple example: your in a library and you want to log on to your email, do a search of the server email that you use, like type in yahoo.com, then it will comes up and you log in to your email account. It work the same way on any other system (computer) that you choice to use. So to answer the question, no you do not have to make a new email account just because you have a new laptop.Yes the emails will go a server that hold them.
The only way this will not happen is if you use outlook express mail account and you have a regular microsoft outlook installed for emails. Only the email account that you log into will show that email on that computer and will not on the other computer.
Hope this helps

That depends on what kind of email program and address you are using.
I'm assuming, by the question, that you are using MS Outlook for a work email address?
You can check your email on both. If it is Outlook, click the help button at the top and serch for "leave message on server". You want to set the time for about 30 days. This will allow you to check the messages on both your desktop and laptop and it won't disappear as you check it on one or the other.
If you are using a yahoo email addy, or any other web email where you log into a website to check your email, then yes, you can check your email from any computer in the world.

As long as both addresses are a universal one ( hotmail, yahoo, google etc.) you can get your 'e' mails off both the one at your desk and your notebook. If you have an 'e' mail address given to you by your employer, chances are the only way you will be able to get them on your notebook, is if you forward them from your desktop at work.

Think of an email address as if it's a credit card: you can bring it with you wherever you go, unless it's your work email and the server is protected.
In other words, a Yahoo, Hotmail or G-Mail account is accessible the world over, as long as you have an internet connection.

Your email is not really delivered to your computer--it's delivered to your email host. This can be an Exchange server or one of a variety of email programs managed by your ISP (cable provider) or a third party like AOL, Microsoft, Yahoo! or Google.
When you want to read mail, your computer logs on to the Internet (or local area network) and logs into the mail host with your username and password. At that point you can download copies of your mail from the host and manage it. When you go to another computer, you simply do the same thing--log on to the email host from wherever you are and view your mail.

You can have the same e-mail address. It will work. If you're using outlook express or something like that, then I'm pretty sure the e-mails will go to both.

If it's yahoo or gmail or any on line email you can access it from any computer.
If it's from a cable company then it comes through their mail server. They let you access your email through the Internet by setting up a an account it's free.
But to answer your question you can access your email from any computer.
