I am 20 years old and, yes, still have trouble swallowing pills. Anyway, my birth control pill got caught on the back of my tounge and began dissolving before i ever swallowed it.. i did swallow the pieces, but is this going to cause a problem?

try putting the pill in something(keep the pill whole) When i had my tonsils out I stuck my pill whole on a spoon with pudding to swallow. Good luck, and this will help you learn to swallow it better.
The pill you had trouble with, it should be ok.....but next time use lots of water to slide it down.

I use to have trouble swallowing pills to and my doctor told me to practice swallowing M&M's because If I got chocked the would just desolve.

The answer is no. If the pill dissolved on your tongue it was designed to dissolve in your stomach.
If the pill was "enteric coated" it would not have dissolved on your tongue.
As long as you drank enough water to get the pieces into your stomach, everything is cool!

Shouldn't be a problem at all. There is a chewable pill out now if you have trouble with regular tablets (don't feel bad, I do too!).

i am the exact way.....i have the hardest time swollowing any type of medication. my brother told me its just a pyscological thing because we swallow larger pieces of food and it goes down just fine...
