You might be right about the 2-9 Richard but if you are those two wins came against LSU, but that was the past it doesn't matter. I don't know who will win but this is going to be a good game and either way I think Ohio State will bring some respect back to the Big Ten.

I find it hard to believe that OSU won't lose. LSU has the speed advantage by far and have gone through a hell of a schedule.
OSU's stiffest competition was a Michigan team who finally caught it's stride after 2 big losses and an athletic Illinois team which they lost to. They also played every other team in Ohio (Youngstown, Akron, Kent St, Glenville HS) other than the one who might have given them trouble (Cincinnati).
Granted comparisons to teams of the past don't always mean much, but how is this OSU team any better than last years??? And we all saw what happened to them against an awesome defense and fast offense...
There are 3 things that give OSU hope though:
1) LSU's offense can be quite pedestrian at times. You can thank former U of O offensive coordinator Gary Crowton for that. If LSU has an "off" day on offense against OSU's D, it could spell trouble.
2)Jim Tressel vs. Les Miles. Fear the sweater vest. After being embarrassed in last season's title game, I think Tressel may have his boys ready for this one. In a battle of coaching wits, I'll take "The Brain" vs. Pinky aka The Mouth aka Mr. Moral Victory (never lost in regulation) any day.
3) This season has been nuts! No one can call any game with certainty so all bets are off in terms of GUA-RAN-TEES! This coming from a Trojan fan...
But...if I HAD to put money on one of these teams...I'd unwillingly place money on those Bayou Bengals of LSU. DAMMIT...

Ohio State is 0-8 to SEC teams.
They're overrated.

The Buckeyes just had two cornerbacks get suspended from the game, probably because they know the team has no chance. Check out the stats, Ohio State sports a "stunning" 2-9 record versus the SEC and hasn't won against a conference team since 1935.
The nine losses have been by an average of two touchdowns. The song remains the same...LSU 28, OSU 13.

Ferret Of Merit is correct about how most LSU fans feel about the Tigers and Miles. The LSU fans know that they backed their way in to the championship game. When a team loses two games, especially the last game of the regular season, that team should not go to the BCS Title game period. Whatever brings the BCS money I guess...

LSU is the better team. You never can tell though. It will be a better game than last years beat down. If I had to bet on it I would take LSU without second guessing myself.

I believe they will beat LSU. I'm sure that Tressel will have them much more prepared this time around. They got embarrassed last year and I think we're going to see a very hungry, intense, focused OSU team. Word is that alot of players have been putting in extra time. They'll be ready.
